In 2004, Kevin began the teaching half of his career as an adjunct professor at The University of Texas at Austin often #1 ranked Advertising Program. His course-enrollment spiked from 12 students to 115. Kevin was then recommended by an LA Times Business editor and recruited by Chapman University's Film and Media Arts School to be full time faculty. 

 

Staring at Chapman Film in 2005, he created many "first ever" initiatives. He pioneered distance-learning, e.g., videoconferencing Advertising and Film students with Apple's iconic marketing department (photo). His Sundance Film Festival travel-course recruited Oscar guest speakers. Kevin also recruited the White House to campus. Over four years, he earned six teaching awards, including a Top 2 faculty ranking.

Kevin left Chapman to earn his Master of Communication Management (earning Phi Kappa Phi national academic honors) from USC Annenberg School. He took a second-emphasis in Screenwriting from USC Film.

Kevin then returned to his base in Santa Monica, CA to teach nearby at
UCLA Extension where he earned top teaching-scores all 13 years. Here are sample guest speakers. (more are under "Photos"). Kevin now lectures "online" at Fordham University's Graduate Business School in the business capital of New York City and at prestigious Stanford Continuing Studies.

At UCLAx, Kevin interviewed guest speaker producer Bryan Unkeless (above). He discovered the book for the billon-dollar Hunger Games franchise, starring Jennifer Lawrence. Bryan also produced the Oscar-winning and critically-acclaimed I, Tonya. Here is the trailer.

At UCLAx, Kevin co-interviewed Xbox executives Allison Pember and Jen Buckmaster (above). They explained their platform as a content-distribution hub and marketing tool as well as an intellectual property, second screen, and product-placement opportunity.

Kevin interviewed horror icon Writer-Director Eli Roth (above) who discussed believing in yourself, pitching projects, and on-set focus.
